Description
Via the MFD's control panel, enter the GlobalScan
Server IP address, communication protocol
(HTTP/HTTPS), and proxy server settings.
Set general information the MFD uses during scan
operations (profile name, attachment file size limit,
machine reset time), default scan settings, Novell
and LDAP connectivity settings, etc.
Choose one of four different mail systems and
establish all email-related options, e.g., LDAP
lookup settings, email body text, Cc, Bcc, Reply
To settings, etc.
Select Scan To Home (if NT or LDAP [with Active
Directory] authentication is selected) and/or Scan
To Folder settings (public folder path/description).
You must create one or more projects, i.e.,
identify default scan settings, primary
authentication method and Services to run on the
MFD, e.g., E-mail, Scan To Folder, Fax, etc.
Configuration of Plug-ins is only necessary if the
RightFax and/or OCR options are installed.
Select the authentication method and applicable
default Services, etc. (Note: GlobalScan V2.0 is
backward compatible with V1.5 only.)
Enter settings such as storage and log folder
paths, scan intervals, mail system, etc., via the
GlobalScan Admin Module.
This step is only necessary if an optional third-
party Framework, e.g., Livelink, FileNET, etc., is
installed.
This is necessary if GlobalScan Server or MFD configuration settings have
been changed.
