Spot colour handling
A spot colour is the combination of a spot colour name, the defined Lab value, and a CMYK
colour value for each "media family/halftone" combination.
When Device Simulation is used, the spot colours are simulated. The Simulation profile, which
uses an absolute colorimetric rendering intent, is applied to the defined Lab values of the spot
colours to calculate the CMYK values. The calculate CMYK values will never be out of the gamut
of simulated device. Then, a Device Link or output profile is used to convert the calculated CMYK
values to the engine colour space.
