Correct needle selection
A bent needle is extremely dangerous since it may break during use. Before sewing, place the flat side of the
needle on a flat surface and check it. Do not use the needle if the space between the needle and flat surface is
uneven.
■ Other needle problems
Do not use damaged needles.
If a faulty needle is used, not only could it impair the sewing performance, but it could also
break, or damage the needle plate or hook.
Note
• Since a bent or blunt needle is difficult to see, replace the needle if the sewing performance is poor.
