Align the marks on the fabric with the marks
on the presser foot, and then lower the
presser foot lever.

Lower the buttonhole lever behind the tab on
the buttonhole foot, as shown.

Lightly hold the end of the upper thread, and
then begin sewing.
* Sew the buttonhole by pressing the start/stop button or
stepping on the foot controller.
* Once sewing is completed, the machine automatically
sews reinforcement stitches, then stops.
When cutting buttonholes with the included buttonhole cutter, do not place your
fingers or hands in front of the cutter.
Doing so could cause injuries to your hand.

Use the included buttonhole cutter to cut the center,
making sure not to cut the stitches.
* Putting a marking pin in the bar-tack area helps prevent the bar-
tack from being cut by the buttonhole cutter.
