FRONT BRAKE

CHASIAI
• Loosen the brake caliper bleed screw and
using a finger push the caliper pistons
into the brake caliper.
• Tighten the brake caliper bleed screw
®.

Brake caliper bleed screw:

6 Nm (0.6 m • kg, 4.3 ft • Ib)
.Install new brake pads and a new brake
pad spring.
• 'nstall the brake caliper @ and retaining
bolt@.
Bolt (brake caliper):
40 Nm (4.0
m •
kg, 28.9
ft • Ib)
Retaining bolt:
23 Nm (2.3 m • kg, 16.6 ft ·Ib)

4.lnspect:
• Brake fluid level
Refer to "BRAKE FLUID INSPECTION" in
CHAPTER 3.

"LOWER" level line
5.Check:
• Brake lever operation
Soft or spongy feeling

Bleed the brake
system.
