3.1nspect:
• Oil leakage

Inspection steps:
.Clean the entire motorcycle thoroughly,
then dry it.
.Apply a leak-locating compound or dry
powder spray to the shaft drive.
• Road test the motorcycle for the distance
necessary to locate the leak.

Inspect the component hous-
ing, gasket and/or seal for damage.
Damage
~
Replace the component.

NOTE:
• An apparent oil leak on a new or nearly
new motorcycle may result from the
application of a rust preventive coating or
excessive seal lubrication.
• Always clean the motorcycle and recheck
the suspected location of an apparent
leak.
