WARNING
• It is dangerous to ride with a worn-out
tire. When the tire tread begins to show
signs of wear, replace the tire immedi-
ately.
• Do not use tubeless tires on a wheel
designed for tube type tires only. Tire fail-
ure and personal injury may result from
sudden deflation.

• When using tube type tires be sure to
install the correct tube.
• After extensive tests, the tires listed
below have been approved by Yamaha
Motor Co., ltd. for this model. No guaran-
tee concerning handling characteristics
can be given if a tire combination, other
than one approved by Yamaha, is used on
this motorcycle. The front and rear tires
should always be by the same manufac-
turer and of the same design.

After mounting a tire, ride conservatively
for a while to give the tire time to seat
itself properly in the rim. Failure to do so
could lead to an accident with possible
injury to the rider or damage to the motor-
cycle.
