Since final drive gear shims can only be
selected in 0.10 mm (0.003 in) increments,
round off the hundredths digit and select
the appropriate shim(s).

In the example above, the calculated final
drive gear shim thickness is 0.51 mm (0.02 in).
The chart instructs you to round off the 1 to O.
Thus you should use a 0.50 mm (0.02 in) final
drive gear shim.
• To find the ring gear shim thickness "B",
use the following formula.
