Pull the paper supporter out as shown in
the diagram to support the paper.
<When loading paper that is longer than B4
short edge first>
Pull the paper supporter out and open it as
shown in the diagram to support the paper.
Note
• When loading A5 size paper, envelopes, postcards, or
reply postcards, you do not have to use the paper
supporter. Load the paper without pulling out the
paper supporter.

Load the paper with the print side facing
down and with the paper inserted fully as
shown in the diagram.
Note
• Do not fan paper to separate a ream. It causes static
electricity, which can lead to paper jams.
• Load A3, B4, postcard, reply postcard, or envelope
size media short edge first into the bypass tray.
However, load A4, B5, A5, or letter size media long
edge first in the tray.

Adjust the paper guides on each side so
than they rest lightly against the loaded
paper.
