Status Indicator RAPs
15B Defective MF DIAL
Description
The MF DIAL is not functioning.
Check and Cause
1. Check that the telephone line cord supplied
with the set is connected to TEL LINE cor-
rectly.
2. Listen for a CLICK sound when the KEY is
pressed.
Note: Key sound must be set to "on" in
User Mode.
3. Check the connection of the HARNESS
between the LIU and the Main PBA.
4. Check that the SPEAKER is connected
correctly.
15C Defective FAX SEND/RECEIVE
Description
FAX SEND/RECEIVE is not functioning.
Check and Cause
1. Check that you can hear a dial tone by
pressing Manual Dial.
2. Check that you can hear a RECEIVE tone
when MODEM testing in TECH Mode,

1. If the telephone cord is OK but there is no
dial tone, try plugging a normal telephone into
the wall socket. If this is OK then replace the
LIU PBA,
2. If you cannot hear the Manual Dial CLICK
sound, the OPE Assembly may be defective.

Replace the OPE Assembly,
3. Check the Speaker connection and the har-
ness between the LIU and the Main PBA,
replace as necessary,
4. Use Tech mode / Modem Test,
check that the speaker and amplifier are
working. Replace the LIU and Main Board in
sequence
Note: Product supports MF DIAL type only.
1. If MODEM testing is normal and there is no
dial tone, replace the LIU PBA,
2. If testing the MODEM shows a fault replace
