VSX 7000 Series Administrator's Guide
Symptom
Picture freezes frequently
during an ISDN call.
Picture is slow or jerky.
Edges of picture are cut off
when viewing graphics
Blue screen in the PIP
window.
Near-site camera does not
pan or tilt.
Call participants cannot see
or hear what is being played
on the VCR or DVD.
Low battery icon on the
screen.

Cause
Too many network line transmission
errors. Check the error count on the
Diagnostics > Call Statistics screen
to verify this.
Network interface cable or cables may
be bad.
Only one 64 Kbps channel is
connecting in your call.
The system is receiving video that
includes a large amount of motion.
Graphics from the far site are displayed
on an NTSC monitor.
This problem may occur in multipoint
calls using a RADVision MCU.
No video input.
The camera selection is incorrect.
The VCR input is selected and the VCR
is not running. Most VCRs generate a
blue screen when the tape is not
playing.
You are attempting to move a camera
that does not have pan/tilt/zoom
capabilities.
The VCR or DVD is not selected.
The VCR or DVD is not set up
correctly.
Low batteries in the remote control.
Solution
Try the call again.
Replace the cable or cables.
Check the ISDN number of the far site.
Ask the far site to call your site.
A background with less motion provides a
better, smoother video picture.
Use a VGA monitor to display graphics.
Check that there is a video source
connected to the selected input.
Select the appropriate camera:
Press
Camera, then press the
number of the camera you wish to use.
Select a different camera or play a tape on
the VCR.
Make sure you have selected a
pan/tilt/zoom camera.
Select the VCR (Camera 3):
Press
Camera, then press 3.
Check that the VCR or DVD is connected
according to the instructions in
the System on page
19.
Refer to the manufacturer's instructions to
set up the VCR or DVD correctly.
Replace the batteries in the remote
control with 3 AAA batteries.
