will automatically adjust the aperture
according to the amount of outside light.
• In SHUTTER mode, the camera
performs the gain adjustment and iris
adjustment automatically and it will be
available to select the shutter speed.
When the shutter speed becomes active, it
ranges between 1/1 and 1/10,000
seconds, with 22 steps.
• In IRIS PRIORITY mode, the camera
performs the gain adjustment and shutter
speed adjustment automatically, and it
will be available to select the iris. When
this option is selected, Iris becomes
active. SSC-CR481's aperture ranges
from F1.6 to CLOSE with 18 steps, and
SSC-CR441's aperture ranges from F1.4
to CLOSE with 18 steps.
• SLOW SHUTTER function is set to
AUTO and shutter speed will be
controlled between 1/25 and 1/1 second
automatically when it is necessary to
adjust long term exposure for the dark
brightness of a scene. It is available when
AE is FULL AUTO mode.
When WDR is set to ON, this function
cannot be activated (SSC-CR481).
• AE COMPENSATION function, the
exposure compensation function adjusts
the brightness of the image by offsetting
the exposure. It ranges from –7 to +7.
When WDR is set to ON, this function
cannot be activated.
• BACK LIGHT COMP can be set to either
ON or OFF. It can also be controlled
directly by keypad controller (number
"71" + PRESET key = ON, number "72"
+ PRESET key = OFF). When WDR is
set to ON, this function cannot be
activated (SSC-CR481).
• WDR function reduces white-out and
blackout in high-contrast shooting scenes
such as under backlighting. (This
function is limited in SSC-CR481.)
• DAY/NIGHT mode can be set to auto or
manual. To improve nighttime sensitivity,
the infrared filter in the camera lens can
be removed. When set to auto mode, the
camera will be automatically adjusted
according to the environment brightness;
in manual mode, directly press "88" key+
PRESET key = Daytime color mode;
number "89"+ PRESET key =
Nighttime monochrome mode. (This
function is limited in SSC-CR481.)
• D/N THRESHOLD can be set to HI,
MID or LOW. (available when D/N
THRESHOLD mode is set to auto mode)
(This function is limited in SSC-CR481.)
Notes
• DAY/NIGHT AUTO mode is not
available in MANUAL of AE mode.
When oscillation occurs depending on
the picture, change D/N THRESHOLD
level or set this mode to OFF.
• When WDR or BACK LIGHT COMP is
set to ON, oscillation may occur
depending on the picture. In this case, set
it to OFF.
• In a case of darker scene with WDR ON,
FULL AUTO mode of AE may not be
activated normally. In this case, set it to
OFF.
• The ranges of actual aperture will be
effected by zoom position, so that IRIS
CONTROL's value is shown on the
condition that the zoom position will be
the end of wide side.

PRESET key for 3 seconds to enter
the main menu screen.

Highlight :CAMERA SETUP:, and
then press the OPEN key to enter the
:CAMERA SETUP: menu.
