5-11 Onboard Indicators
LAN LEDs
The Ethernet ports (located beside the
VGA port) have two LEDs. On each
port, one LED indicates activity while
the other LED may be green, amber
or off to indicate the speed of the
connection. See the table on the right
for the indication associated with the
connection speed LED.
Onboard Power LED (LE1)
An Onboard Power LED is located at
LE1 on the motherboard. When LE1 is
on, the AC power cable is connected.
Make sure to disconnect the power
cable before removing or installing any
component. See the table on the right
for more details.
UID LED
The Unit Identifi er LED is designated
LE2 on the motherboard. This LED
illuminates to easily identify the system
in a rack full of servers.
BMC Heartbeat LED
DP1 is a BMC (Baseboard Manage-
ment Controller) Hear tbeat LED.
When DP1 blinks, the BMC is func-
tioning properly.
