Taking pictures with the self-timer

Recording mode:
We recommend using a tripod. This mode can also be used to prevent the camera
shake effect caused by pressing the shutter release button. To do so, set the self-timer to
2 seconds.
Press
to display [Selftimer]
Use the respective cursor buttons to select time duration and
press [MENU/SET]
Take a picture
Press the shutter release button fully to start recording after the preset time.
• To cancel while in operation → Press [MENU/SET]
Focusing is done automatically immediately before recording if the shutter release
button is pressed fully.
After the Self-timer indicator stops flashing, it may then be lit in its function as AF Assist
Lamp.
This function cannot be used in the following cases:
• With the [High Speed Video] scene mode
• When recording motion pictures
