Taking pictures with Exposure Compensation

An exposure compensation allows adjusting the exposure when the desired brightness
level is not attained automatically (e.g. when there are different brightness levels within
the picture).
Recording modes:
Press
to display [Exposure]
Use the respective cursor buttons to select a value and press
[MENU/SET]
Depending on the brightness, it may not be possible to set an exposure compensation
in some cases.
The Exposure Compensation value you set is retained even after the camera is turned
off.
• If the main subject is too dark, adjust the
exposure to the "+" direction.
• If the main subject is too bright, adjust the
exposure to the "-" direction.
• When an exposure compensation is set,
the compensation value (
is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the
screen.
