Operating Modes

Description
mode
Sleep
When the recorder is first powered up it enters Sleep mode. The recorder stays in Sleep mode
until a wakeup trigger has occurred. The recorder returns to Sleep mode when none of the other
modes are active or if the recorder goes outside operational voltage.
Standby
Indicates that the recorder is powered, is within the operating temperature range, and is waiting
for record rule conditions to be met before beginning to record.
Record
Indicates the recorder is acquiring data and saving data to the hard drive based on the recording
rules defined in the Configuration setup (see
video and audio from cameras, trigger status, and status logs.
The recorder must be within recording temperature range to accept data. If the recorder is outside
recording temperature range, it shuts down and enters Standby mode. If the recorder is outside
operational temperature range, it enters Sleep mode.
The recorder returns to Standby mode when recording mode terminates.
