This chapter describes how to use the Player application to:
•
Search for stored video and audio clips based on a record rule
•
Play clips
•
Archive clips
•
Verify information authenticity on clips
•
Print images
Note
To ensure that you can access Player data files and application support files,
we recommend that all Player users be administrator group members of your
Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional, or XP Home operating system.
Note
We recommend that you close all other applications while running the Player.
In particular, anti-virus applications may affect playback speeds.
The Player screen is the primary user interface. Intuitive controls provide easy access to
commonly used functions.
To use the Player application on a connected recorder:
1.
Start the Player application. The recorder name appears on the Recorders tab on
the Explorer Pane. This may take up to a minute, depending on your PC network
status.
2.
On the Recorders tab, select the recorder and then click Connect (or double-click
the recorder name). If password protect has been enabled (see
Access, page 68), you are prompted to log in.
