7. MAGNI PREMIER APPLICATION SOFTWARE

The Magni Premier application software is provided with the product to provide initial setup, quick
setup and PC control of the unit. The application software can be setup to be displayed on a second
monitor in a dual monitor computer setup. With the application program, you can configure the MCP-
601 to fit your system as well as controlling the operation of overlay, mixing and key functions. The
program also demonstrates the basic capabilities of the MCP-601 that can be implemented with control
commands that are built into the customers' own custom application. Refer to Section 5. Basic
Operations for more detail on operation of each screen.
When the Magni Premier application software is active and connected to the MCP-601, it takes control
of the MCP-601 main unit. Although the MCP-601-IR remote controller can simultaneously control the
MCP-601 main unit, the application software will regain control of the unit at the next refresh update.
The software will perform a complete refresh update whenever there is an input video or input graphics
changed, lost of either input, lost of genlock, or change of standards.

Video and graphics inputs, communication port setup and memories can be set up under the Config tab
within the Magni Premier Application Software. There are a total of 11 memory locations that can be
stored or recalled individually, including PowerUp and 10 Memory locations. Each memory location
contains a complete setup configuration of the MCP-601 and all 11 memory locations have been pre-
loaded from the factory. The PowerUp memory is intended to be reset by the user immediately after
initial setup to suit their specific application and can be reset in the Config screen through the Save
PowerUp button. Memories 1 through 10 can be activated with the Save Memories button in the Config
