Video cards that support 720x576 VGA screens (PAL)

The 720x576 VGA mode is not a standard VGA setting. However, it provides the best full screen VGA to
video conversion. To utilize the 720x576 VGA display, the user have to input custom VGA information so
that the MCP-601 can properly switch to the desired VGA setting.

3. To Manually Set The User Display Setting:
A. Select USER 1: mode
B. Input the data as in picture to the left.
C. Set the priority to high so the MCP-601 will always use this mode.
D. Press "Update User Display" button.
E. On the IR Remote: Press the DVI button (Gets VGA out of lock); then Press the VGA
button to relock to the VGA port.
F. Press "Generate Test Patter" (Making sure the Pixel Clock frequency is correct).
Make sure the box lie exactly in the center of the two vertical lines on the video
output. If the box is too wide or too narrow, then the pixel clock in off.
G. Press "ESC" key to escape out of test.
I. To change the Pixel Clock if the Pixel Clock frequency is off, repeat step D to G
until the frequency is dead on.
Note: When fine-tuning the Pixel Clock frequency, adjust in increment of 10 KHz to 100
KHz at a time.

. On The Magni Premier Application:
A. Connect to the MCP-601.
B. Setup the Key Color to black.
C. Set the Key to On.
D. Config Tab à "Change Display" button.
Auto Cal: (RS-232 Control Only)
2. Auto Calibration Of The User Display Setting:
A. Select USER 1: mode
B. Input the "VGA WIDTH" and "VGA HEIGHT" as
in picture to the left.
C. Set the priority to High so the MCP-601
will always use this mode.
D. Press "Auto Cal / Test Pattern" button.
E. If the video output matched the selected
screen size and other parameters are
correct Press "Update User Display"
button.
F. On the IR Remote: Press the DVI button
(Gets VGA out of lock); then Press the VGA
button to relock to the VGA port.
Note: This step is very important.
G. To set the positioning, On the IR Remote:
Press the "Menu" button à
Select "Display" à
Select "AutoPos Now".
Press on "EXIT" button when done.

NOTE:
It is recommended to perform the Auto Cal
function twice to minimize the detection errors.
