PPTP
This connection type enables the NetComm Smart Hub 4G to connect to a VPN server via a bridged WAN device. Any device
connected to the NetComm Smart Hub 4G can then access the VPN based resources available.

Please refer to the WAN Failover Backup section on page 29 for information on configuring the WAN failover feature and
enabling the Failover notification function.

Type in the server IP address of the VPN server assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider or network
administrator.
Type in the VPN username and password assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider or network administrator.
Select Dynamic if your service uses a DHCP server, or if you have been assigned a static IP address select Static and
type in the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway assigned by your Internet Service Provider.
Keeps the Internet connection alive, does not disconnect.
Only connects to Internet when there's a connection attempt
Only connects to the Internet when the 'Connect' button on this page is pressed, and disconnects when the
'Disconnect' button is pressed.
Input the MAC address of your computer here if your service provider only permits computers with a certain MAC
address to access the Internet. If you are using a computer connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, you can
simply press the 'Default' button. The router will then automatically detect the MAC address of the connected computer
and populate the MAC address field with it.
