Basic Operation

This chapter describes basic operation of this sever.

Power-On and Booting Server

The following shows the flow of steps from power-on to OS boot.
Turn on the power of peripherals connected to the server.
Turn the power on and start booting the server.

OS Boot
● In general, the steps are performed automatically to the step (5) after step (2)
is performed. Refer to "BIOS Setup" in this Guide to stop the flow in step (4).
The server diagnoses itself by executing Power On Self-Test (POST) while "NEC" logo is
displayed. Refer to "Checking by POST" described below for details.
