Change Procedure of Drive Letter

For Windows Server 2008
1. From Start Menu, right-click on "My Computer" to select "Manage" and start "Server
Manager".
2. On the left side of the screen, select "Storage → Disk Management".
3. Right-click on the volume that the drive letter is to be changed and select "Change Drive Letter
and Path".
4. Click "Change".
5. Click "Assign the following drive letter" and select a drive letter to be assigned to.
6. Click "OK".
7. When the following message is displayed, click "Yes".
Some programs that rely on drive letters might not run correctly. Do you want to
continue?
8. End Server Manager.
This is the end of the procedure.
For Windows Server 2008 R2
1. From Start Menu, right click on "My Computer" to select "Manage" and start "Server
Manager".
2. On the left side of the screen, select "Storage → Disk Management".
3. Right-click on the volume that the drive letter is to be changed and select "Change Drive Letter
and Path".
4. Click "Change".
5. Click "Assign the following drive letter" and select a drive letter to be assigned to.

IMPORTANT:
Note that drive letters for the system volume or the boot volume that
the OS is installed cannot be changed with the following procedure.
