Front Mask

The front mask must be removed to install or remove the 3.5-inch hard disk drive and 3.5-inch
device.
Removal
Follow the steps below to remove the front mask.
1.
See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
2.
Remove the base cover as described earlier in this chapter.
3.
Pull the release tabs (3 places) at the top of the front mask toward you ( ) until the tabs
are removed from the frame of the workstation ( ), as shown in the figure below.
IMPORTANT:
hooks fixing the bottom of the front mask will be damaged. Only pull
out the tabs a little.
4.
Slide the front mask upward to disengage the three hooks from the holes on bottom, then
remove the front mask from the workstation.
If the tabs are pulled out toward you excessively, the
