Scanner Environment - Bell and Howell Copiscan 8000 Plus Series Operator's Manual

For SCSI configuration, we recommend that you have the following:
• PC host with minimum 32 Mb RAM, 166 MHz Pentium processor or equivalent
• Adaptec 154X SCSI card or better; if in Windows environment, utilize Windows
ASPI driver.
• SCSI cable (SCSI II 50 PIN high density connector on the scanner end, Adaptec card
compatible connector on the other end)

For Video configuration, we recommend that you have the following:
• PC host with minimum 32 Mb RAM, 200 MHz Pentium processor or equivalent
• Video card (Contact the video card manufacturer for scanner support)
• Video cable (Provided with scanner)
NOTE:
Contact your interface card vendor for the connection on the workstation side.

Scanner Environment

The scanner equipment has been designed to operate in a normal office environment.
Please note the following environmental requirements:
• Place the scanner in a clean, well-ventilated room, free of combustible vapors.
• The minimum clearance in back for the cables should be 6 inches. The minimum
clearance on the left side for the left entry door should be 15 inches.
• Make sure all electrical outlets are properly grounded. Use of a dedicated power line
is recommended.
• Place the scanner at the front edge of a level surface.
