I Selecting VFO/memory mode
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscilla-
tor, and is commonly referred to as a main tuning func-
tion. The tuning dial is often called the "VFO knob."
➥ Push [V/M] to switch between VFO and memory
modes.
• Pushing [V/M] for 1 sec. transfers the contents of the se-
lected memory channel to VFO mode (p. 65).
I VFO operation
The transceiver has 2 VFOs and are called VFO A and
VFO B. You can use the desired VFO to call up a fre-
quency and operating mode for your operation.

➥ Push [A/B] to switch between the VFO A and
VFO B.
• "VFO A" or "VFO B" appears.
D D VFO equalization
➥ Push [A/B] for 1 sec. to equalize the undisplayed
VFO condition to the displayed VFO.
• 3 beeps sound when the VFO equalization is completed.
CONVENIENT
Use two VFOs as a quick memory
When you find a new station, but you wish to continue
searching, the Two VFO system can be used for quick mem-
ory storage.
q Push [A/B] for 1 sec. to store the displayed frequency into
the undisplayed VFO.
w Continue searching for stations.
e Push [A/B] to retrieve the stored frequency.
r To continue searching for a station, push [A/B] again.
