Adjusting BIOS Loading Settings

3BM 2 includes the following settings that let you customize the behavior of
the BIOS for the selected controller. You can access these settings by selecting
Settings > BIOS Settings from the main 3BM screen.

Specifies what level of detail to display on the start-up
Display Control.

Full
displays all available information about the items attached to the
controller, including available drives, hot spares, and configured units.
Unit Only
displays only configured units.
Summary
displays a one-sentence description of the items attached to the
controller.
Array View
. Specifies what level of information to show about configured
units on the start-up screen.
lists each unit and shows the specific drives that make up the
Expanded
unit.

Collapsed
. Sets the number of seconds that BIOS loading will pause to
Pause Time
displaying the RAID configuration before continuing to boot the operating
system. You can set a pause time of up to 10 seconds. The default is 6
seconds.
. When you have many drives attached to a controller
Full Screen Control
and choose to display the Full level of detail, the information can extend
beyond a screens' worth. The Full Screen Control setting lets you specify
whether to wait for a keystroke when the screen is full, before displaying
additional information. This option can be either

Load Control.
This setting lets you suppress loading of the BIOS for this
controller. This can be useful for "headless" systems (without a monitor and
keyboard) that have many types of PCI controllers and do not need to boot
from the units.
