output) by using the output scaling parameters which are independent of input calibration.
The rate at which the microcontroller can perform the separate linearzing and scaling
calculations is the limiting factor in determining the available bandwidth of the TMS 9250.

Fast Mode Operation Detailed Description

Fast Mode Operation

To provide a faster response for users that want to analyze the dynamic data, a FASTMODE
is provided, and in this mode, the data is "piped" directly from the rotor to the analog voltage
output.
The benefit of this mode is that the analog voltage output is updated at the maximum data
rate, which is eight times faster than the normal mode rate.
The downside of using fast mode is that the scaling and linear zing stages are bypassed, so
the relationship between input and output becomes fixed, and the only way to calibrate the
output against the input is to either calculate the expected change in output value (by
reference to the calibration data stored in the TMS 9250), perform a physical system
calibration, or use the SHUNT CAL feature.
