To add a CCM appliance SoL port:
1.
In a Units View window containing appliances (see Accessing Units View windows on
page 88), click on the CCM appliance name.
2.
Click Appliance Settings in the side navigation bar, click Ports and then SoL in the side
navigation bar. The Appliance SoL window will open.
3.
Click Add. The Add Serial Over Lan Port Wizard will appear. Click Next.
4.
In the Type in SoL Port Configuration Data window, enter:
BMC IP address in standard dot notation.
BMC User Name that matches the username configured on the BMC.
BMC User Password that matches the password configured on the BMC.
Timeout that specifies the number of idle minutes the CCM appliance will wait before
dropping a connection to the port.
CLI access character that will be used to access CLI mode on a serial device. The (^)
character represents the
will enter CLI mode.
TCP port that must be entered on the Telnet client to connect to this port.
5.
Click Next.
To change general settings for a CCM appliance SoL port:
1.
In a Units View window containing appliances (see Accessing Units View windows on
page 88), click on the CCM appliance name.
2.
Click Appliance Settings in the side navigation bar, click Ports and then SoL in the side
navigation bar.
3.
The Appliance SoL Ports window will open. Click on an SoL port name.
4.
The Appliance SoL Port General Settings window will open.
5.
Change the settings as needed.
Interface Name - the name used to access the BMC
BMC IP - in standard dot notation
User Name - should match the username configured on the BMC
Modify Password - if checked, the appliance password will be changed to value entered in
Password field and repeated in Confirm Password field (if checkbox is checked and
Password/Confirm Password fields are empty, the password will be erased); if unchecked,
the password will not be changed
Timeout - number of idle minutes (1-90) the CCM appliance will wait before dropping a
connection to the port
CLI Access - the character that, when pressed simultaneously with the
session will suspend the session and place the user in CLI command mode
