ONNECTING THE
USB
If you have a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port enabled on
your computer, and if your computer is running Windows 98
or Windows 2000, you can connect your 1450 or 1450N
printer to the USB chain of devices.
1.
Make sure the printer and the computer are turned off.
2.
Plug the appropriate end of the USB cable into the socket
on the back of the printer. (A).
3. Plug the other end of the cable into the appropriate
parallel connector on your computer (B).

Connect the Power Cord to the back of the printer. Plug
the other end of the Power Cord into a properly
grounded outlet (C).
note:
Do not turn on your computer until you have
successfully printed out a Settings Page. Follow the
directions on page 23.
