Printer memory is used for temporarily storing a print job
until it is processed. The more memory installed in the
printer, the more efficiently it can process print jobs.
The SuperScript 1450 model printer comes with 4MB of
memory, and can be upgraded to 68MB using 70ns, or faster,
128-pin SDRAM DIMMs.
The SuperScript 1450N model printer comes with 16MB of
memory, and can be upgraded to 80MB using 70ns, or faster,
128-pin SDRAM DIMMs.
In either model printer use a 64MB DIMM in the printer's
expansion slot (A).
The 12MB of memory that comes with your printer is in the
form of 16MB built into the controller board and 8MB
installed in the DIMM slots.
