Turn the PSU switch of the power supply unit to the OFF position (marked "O").

Check that the POWER LED of the power supply unit is off.

Powering On

This section explains how to turn on the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.
There are two ways to turn the power on:
• Via the Power switch
Press the Power switch to turn on the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.
• Via the Wake On LAN function
Use the Wake On LAN function to turn on the power.

For normal operation, there is no need to switch to OFF position.
Power supply unit (PSU#1)
OFF position (marked "O") of the PSU switch on a power supply unit
Before turning on the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system, make sure that
the main line switches of the power distribution units and the PSU switches
on the power supply units of the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system are
"ON".
Do not turn the main line switches of the power distribution units and the
PSU switches on the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system to the OFF posi-
tion.
