Port States

The port administrative state, which determines the operational state of a port has
two forms: configured administrative state and current administrative state.
Configured administrative state—saved in the switch configuration and
preserved across switch resets. Enterprise Fabric Suite always makes
changes to the configured administrative state.
Current administrative state—applied to the port for temporary purposes and
not preserved across switch resets. The current administrative state is set
with the Set Port command using the CLI.
The port operational state is the actual port state and not the administrative state
you may have assigned.
To view the operational state of each port in the faceplate display:
1.
Select a switch or stack in the fabric tree.
2.
On the View menu, click View Port States.
