Controlling Multicast Routing on the Switch includes setting up IGMP for IP interfaces, PIM and DVMRP. This chapter
describes how to set these up. For an explanation of how these protocols function, read Appendix C.
The functions supporting IP multicasting are added located in the IP Multicast Routing Protocols subdirectory in the Layer 3
IP Networking folder.
Multicast Global Configurations
IGMP Snooping, DVMRP, and PIM-DM can be enabled or disabled on the switch without changing the individual
protocol's configuration.
To enable or disable IGMP Snooping, DVMRP, and PIM-DM globally on the switch:
From the Layer 3 IP Networking folder, click on the IP Multicast Routing Protocols link and then click on the Multicast
Global Configurations link to open the following dialog box:
IGMP Snooping, DVMRP, and PIM-DM routing protocols can be individually enabled or disabled, globally on the switch −
without changing the individual protocol's configuration from the above window.
