Problems during Copying

The following helps you solve problems encountered during copying.
Copy does not
print at the
desired size.
Original does not
feed into the
original feeder.
Unable to copy
using the manual
feed tray
(Bypass).
Original is often
jammed.
A corner of the
original is folded.

Did you select the original
size series properly?
Did you select the media
size series properly?
Is the original at the correct
position?
Is the original guide at the
correct position?
Is the original folded or
bent?
Is the original too small?
Is the paper media loaded in
the manual feed tray at the
correct position?
Is the original in good
condition?
Is the original too small or
too thick?
Is the original curled?
Check
Select the original size series properly to
match with the original size.
Refer to "Size Series Settings for Originals"
(P.31).
Select the media size series properly to
match with the media size.
Refer to "Media Settings" (P.39).
Load the original correctly.
Refer to "Step 3 Scanning the Original" (P.43).
Correctly set the original guides.
Refer to "Step 3 Scanning the Original" (P.43).
Straighten and properly reset the original.
Refer to "Step 3 Scanning the Original" (P.43).
The minimum size of the original that can
be fed is the width 182mm and the length
210mm.
Refer to "Usable Originals" (P.30).
Correctly select the paper media.
Refer to "Using the Manual Feed Tray
(Bypass)" (P.36).
Insert a usable type of original.
Refer to "Usable Originals" (P.30), "Step 3
Scanning the Original" (P.43).
The minimum size of the original that can
be loaded is the width 182mm and the
length 210mm. Some thick originals may
require removal of the front return guides.

Flatten out the curl and set the original
again.
