For Macintosh users, click Utility in the Print dialog box and
you will see a dialog box similar to the one below.

EPSON Status Monitor 2 for Windows 95

The Status Monitor 2 utility helps you keep track of the printer,
shows how much ink and paper are remaining, and alerts you
if it detects a printer error. To open the Status Monitor, click the
EPSON Status Monitor 2 button on the Utility menu before
printing. If the Status Monitor is not installed. See Chapter 2 in
your Setup Guide for installation instructions.
The Status Monitor 2 utility that comes with your printer is
available only when the printer is connected directly to the host
computer via parallel port LPT1, and only when your system,
is configured to support bi-directional communication. You can
use the Status Monitor 2 utility that comes with the optional
EPSON Ethernet Interface Card (must be installed) when
connecting over a network.
