EPSON Status Monitor 2 (for Windows 95)

Provides you with printer status information, such as the
amount of ink remaining, and checks for printer errors.
This utility is available only if:
G
You have installed the Status Monitor 2 (if not, see page
4-29),
G
The printer is connected directly to the host computer via
the parallel port (LPT1), and
G
Your system is configured to support bi-directional
communication.
The online help included with the EPSON Status Monitor 2
utility provides you with detailed information about using
EPSON Status Monitor 2. Click Help in the Printer Status
window.

Nozzle Check

Checks the print head nozzles for clogging. Check the nozzles if
you notice a decline in print quality, and also after cleaning to
confirm that the print head nozzles have been cleared. In case
the nozzle check indicates the print head needs cleaning, you
can access the Head Cleaning utility directly from the Nozzle
Check utility.

Head Cleaning

Cleans the print head. You may need to clean the head if you
notice a decline in print quality. Before and after print head
cleaning, use the Nozzle Check utility to check whether the
print head needs to be cleaned (again). You can access the
Nozzle Check utility directly from the Head Cleaning utility.
