Setting the paper release lever

You can set the paper path you want to use by adjusting the
paper release lever. The paper release lever has three positions:
for tractor feeding,
paper release, as described below.

Paper Handling
for single-sheet feeding and
Single-sheet feeding position
sheets (including envelopes and postcards) from a
paper guide or the optional cut-sheet feeder.
Tractor feeding position for loading continuous
paper (including labels and overlapping forms)
from the tractor.
Paper release position for removing paper from
the printer manually when a paper jam error
ocurrs. For more information, see "Clearing a
Paper Jam" on page 8-24.
