Paper type
Select Cards (for postcards), Envelopes, or Normal depending
on the type of paper you use.
Overlapping form
Select On when printing on overlapping multi-part forms.
Intensity mode
Select Dark, if you need to print characters clearer and darker
on multi-part forms; otherwise leave this set to Normal.
Note:
Continued use of the Dark option may shorten the life of the print
head and ribbon cartridge. If you are satisfied with the quality of
normal printouts, select Normal.
Software
Select the kind of printer commands your printer uses.
If you select ESC/P 2, the printer operates as an EPSON
ESC/P 2 printer. If you select IBM 2391 Plus, the printer
operates as an IBM Proprinter 2391 Plus. If possible, choose an
EPSON ESC/P 2 printer in your software programs. This will
allow you to use the most advanced font and graphics handling
available.
Auto CR (IBM)
Turn on this settings to cause the printer to add a carriage
return (CR) command to every line feed command such as LF
and ESC J sent by the application program software. If you turn
it off, carriage returns occur only when the software sends
carriage return commands to the printer.
Auto carriage return is available only in IBM 2391 Plus
emulation mode.
