Hardware Installation Procedure

Unpacking

To unpack the VCX V7111 24FXS, follow these steps:
Open the carton and remove packing materials.

Remove the VCX V7111 from the carton.

Check that there is no equipment damage.

Check, retain and process any documents.

Notify 3Com of any damage or discrepancies.

MDF Adapter

To connect twenty-four 2-wire lines into the VCX V7111, a Main Distribution Frame (MDF)
Adapter Block should be used as shown in
