What to do
Try to ping to VCX V7111. If ping fails, check for network
problems/definitions and try to reset the VCX V7111.
Check cables.
Check if default Gateway can reach IP of box.
Check if box got the correct IP (it can be seen in the
HyperTerminal screen).
Check the validity of IP address, subnet and default
Gateway.
If default Gateway is not used, enter 0.0.0.0
Check if BootP server replied to VCX V7111 at
restart; it is seen in the BootP server log.
Try to restart BootP server.
Check the MAC address of the box in BootP server.
Check if TFTP server working.
Check this in its log.
Look in HyperTerminal for the TFTP server IP address that
the VCX V7111 is trying to use.
Try to restart TFTP server.
Check in HyperTerminal screen the address of used
TFTP.
Check default directory of TFTP server and check that INI
file exists there.
Verify in windows explorer that file extensions are
displayed and the INI file is not by mistake XXX.ini.ini.
Verify that extension INI is in lowercase letters.
Verify that:
Timeout = 2 seconds
# of retransmission = 10
