Integrating HP Hardware Diagnostics with TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Agent on Client PCs
The HP NetVectra PC has the HP Hardware Diagnostics preloaded on
its hard disk. It does not use a diskette, thus the DiagTools
functionality is not applicable to this model. Instead, you may run the
diagnostics from the menu when you reboot the PC.
To upgrade to a more recent HP Hardware Diagnostics version, you can
use either the DiagTools screen on the TopTools for Desktops Device
Manager 3.0 or TopTools 2.5 console, or download the software from
the Web as explained above.
Integration on TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Device Manager
or TopTools 2.5 OpenView Consoles
The purpose of this integration with TopTools, which is valid for the
TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Device Manager and TopTools 2.5 OpenView
consoles, is to be able to update the HP Hardware Diagnostics software
remotely.
You need to make sure that you have the latest version of the
diagnostics software installed. If you need to update it, you can
download the latest version from the Web.
To update the HP Hardware Diagnostics software, proceed as follows:
From the TopTools for Desktops Device Manager, select a number of
PCs, click the Actions button, then select "Distribute Diagnostics".
To update the HP Hardware Diagnostics software, proceed as follows:
From the TopTools 2.5 OpenView console, select DiagTools tab, then
click the "Update" button.
