NOTE
The result of this is that, depending on the source of the DMI request
(local or remote TopTools), the reply will reach either the local or the
remote management interface. In turn, the correct management
application (local or remote TopTools) will receive the answer.
The alerting mechanism is also quite different to that of DMI 1.1. At the
application level, the HP Alert daemon has been replaced by a new DMI
Watchdog application, called DMIWDG.
To manage DMI 2.0 PCs, you need one of the following consoles:
Network Node Manager 5.02 with TopTools 2.5 console for NNM.

OpenView Professional Suite D.02.00 with TopTools 2.51 console for

Professional Suite.
TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Device Manager.

With older versions of OpenView, you were not be able to receive DMI 2
alerts.
