Installing TopTools for
Desktops 3.0 Agent
1 Click Start.
2 Point to Programs.
3 Point to HP DMI.
4 Click Setup.
5 Go to Step 2 in "Installing TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Agent"
1 Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
2 Locate the appropriate executable program.
3 Go to "Installing TopTools for Desktops 3.0 Agent"
1 Run SETUP.EXE (either from Windows Explorer or via the Start
button).
2 First, a welcome window is displayed. Then, a wizard starts guiding
you through the installation process.
3 Click Next. This displays the README.TXT file.
4 When you have read the README.TXT file, click Yes.
A license agreement is then displayed. Click Yes if you agree to the
conditions.
5 Select the destination directory where you want the files to be
installed on the hard disk. Click Next.
6 A window appears asking you to enter the User's Phone, Physical
Location, User Name, and System Name. When you have done this,
click Next. You can change these later from within TopTools if you
need to.
7 If you use a specific Asset Number for the PC, enter it and click Next.
Otherwise just click Next without entering anything.
8 If you use a specific Serial Number and Asset Number for the
monitor, enter it and click Next. Otherwise just click Next without
entering anything. Note that under Windows 95, the installation
program automatically inserts the serial numbers for DDC-
compatible monitors.
9 The process automatically installs the necessary files.
