Test Macintosh USB Port

To test the printer's USB port from a Macintosh computer, the printer driver must be installed and tested. This
procedure demonstrates how to install the Phaser 8400 PostScript driver (PPD) and generate a test print on a
Macintosh computer running OS 10.2.x.
The procedures for Mac OS 10.2.x and 10.3.x are identical except for the
Print Center and Print Setup Utility. Use the Print Center for 10.2.x
installations and the Print Setup Utility for 10.3.x installations.
1. Connect an A-to-B cable between the USB ports on the printer and Macintosh computer.
2. Verify the printer is "Ready To Print".
3. Insert the CD-ROM into the computer's drive.
