POST
BIST and POST failures are generally related to the electronics module.
PEST Errors
Print Engine Self Tests (PEST) occur during the printer's mechanical initialization sequence. The tests
identify disconnected wiring harnesses, shorted motors, and power supplies that are out of tolerance. PEST
failures are reported on the Control Panel using a 37,000-series error code. The codes are stored in the
printer's Engine Error History and are included on the embedded Printer Status Page and Usage Profile
Report.
The Wiring Diagrams section of the Service Manual provides a visual key that relates each 37,000-series
PEST error code to the corresponding wiring harness. Detailed troubleshooting procedures are located in the
Service Manual's Fault Code Error Message Troubleshooting section.
