4. To install the software:
Double-click the "Installer" icon to launch the Installer.
Click "Continue".
Click "Accept" to accept the license agreement.
Click "Install" to begin the installation process. The installer will load the Phaser 8400 PPD into the
correct directory.
Click "Quit" after the installation has completed.
5. To launch Print Center:
Double-click the hard drive.
Select Applications...Utilities...Print Center.
6. To select the PPD:
On Print Center, click the ADD icon.
Use the pull-down menu to select USB.
Select the printer from the Product section (there may only be one).
Select "Xerox" from the Printer Model field and then select the correct Xerox printer model (this
selection configures the printer with the correct PPD file).
Click the "Add" button.
Close the Print Center.
7. To test the connection:
Select Applications...TextEdit to launch the TextEdit application.
Type a short text message.
Select File...Print.
Select the Phaser 8400 printer.
Click the "Print" button to send the job.
