‚ Configure [CONFIGURE] key...Press this key when you want to
configure settings related to facsimile use.
ΠRegister [REGISTER] key...Press this key when you want to
register information related to facsimile use.
„ TAD/Auto Rx. [MESSAGE TEL./MANUAL RX.] key
• Inch version: Press this key when you want to change the
reception mode. When the TAD indicator is lit, the fax is in the
TAD Reception mode. When the Auto Rx. indicator is lit, the fax
is in the Auto Fax Reception mode. When both indicators are
out, the fax is in the Manual Fax Reception mode.
• Metric version: Press this key when you want to change the
reception mode. When the MESSAGE TEL. indicator is lit, the
fax is in the TAD Reception mode. When the MANUAL RX.
indicator is lit, the fax is in the Manual Fax Reception mode.
When both indicators are out, the fax is in the Auto Fax
Reception mode.
´ Duplex Tx. [DUPLEX TX.] key...Press this key when you want to
transmit duplex (2-sided) documents.
‰ Broadcast [BROADCAST] key...Press this key when you want
to perform Broadcast Transmission procedures.
ˇ Print Reports [PRINT REPORTS] key...Press this key when you
want to print out a desired report or list.
Á Information [INFORMATION] key...Press this key when you
want to find out whether a certain fax transmission or fax
reception was carried out properly. The status of the 10 most
recent fax transmissions and the 10 most recent fax receptions
can be checked in the message display. Press this key also when
you want to cancel, or modify information related to,
communications that are in memory waiting for a start time.
¨ Polling [POLLING] key...Press this key when you want to
perform Polling Communication procedures.
ˆ Confidential [CONFIDENTIAL] key...Press this key when you
want to enter documents into an F-Code Based Confidential Box
or print out documents from an Encryption Box.

Ø Delayed Tx. [DELAYED TX.] key...Press this key when you
want to perform procedures for communications that use the
timer.
∏ F-Code [SUBADDRESS] key...Press this key when you want to
perform F-Code Based Communication procedures.
Å Alternate Display [ALTERNATE DISPLAY] key...When carrying
out 2 operations simultaneously (Dual Access function) – such as
copying during a fax transmission – the message display can be
switched during the time that this key is held down to enable
monitoring of the background operation.
Í Label seals (Metric version only)...Label seals that indicate the
meanings of the symbols beside each key and indicator are
included with this machine. It is the terminology on these label seals
that is used in this handbook in place of the symbols. Attach the
label seal that corresponds to the language you are using in an
easily viewable location on the fax machine.
* The special characters seals for each language are on the same
sheet as the key-indicator seals and the seal that corresponds to
the language in use in the message display should be attached
to the top of the upper cover plate, directly under one-touch
key No.15.
