F1 Prompt
Selecting this menu choice enables you to continue booting without a
keyboard or monitor. This feature is useful for service and diagnostic
purposes, allowing you to continue the boot up process without attaching a
monitor and keyboard and their respective cables.
Contrast
You can adjust the level of contrast on the Integrated Display by using the up
and down arrows. Press the Up arrow to increase the contrast, and press the
Down arrow to decrease the contrast.
The Compaq Integrated Management Display is menu-driven and easy to use.
This section provides information on how to navigate and use the menus.
After configuring the display and rebooting the server, a series of server
POST (Power-On Self-Test) operations appears. The first screen you will see
after rebooting the server shows the model number and IMD firmware revision
of your display, then the POST screen appears.
During POST, the display indicates that the server test is in progress by a
spinning bar beside the menu item. When the test is finished, the Integrated
Management Display shows a check mark by the completed menu item. A
check mark tells you the test is complete, but does not necessarily mean the
test was free from errors.
If an error occurs during POST, the server logs the error to the Integrated
Management Display under Unviewed Events and requires you to view the
error before proceeding to any other menu choices. If there are no errors, you
will see the default idle screen text. See Figure 7-1, "Idle Screen Text." This
screen could be different if you changed the text during configuration.
