1. Open the top access door.
2. Press the locking latches in 1 and lift the failed hot-plug fan (either 1
or 2) out of the I/O Module 2.

3. Lower the new hot-plug fan into the I/O Module until it rests on the I/O
board connector
, holding the locking latches . Push the fan into the
connector and release the locking latches to engage the fan.

4. Verify that the fan is producing airflow and that the LED is green.
5. Close the top access door.
