Compaq Enhanced Functionality Support (EFS) diskettes for Unix contain all
the software components to support Compaq PCI Hot Plug.
For more information, refer to the PCI Hot Plug Administration Guide on the

or the Compaq White Paper "PCI Hot Plug Technology with SCO

Supported I/O Expansion Boards

The I/O board of the ProLiant 8500 has eleven PCI Hot Plug expansion slots.
These slots are distributed among three PCI buses as shown in Table 4-4. The
ProLiant 8500 server is shipped with a Network Interface Controller (NIC) in
a slot on bus 1.
